In the Eyes of The fearfull SOPA... Which we will not go into here... Should you choose just use google and All Will come to your senses...

Lets reacall a time when We the beta testers of today Sat through Hours of busy signals just to hear "you got mail"...As we then waited another 20 mins to load all the icons that AOL had to offer... We Stood by Steve Case with our Wallets open.. and Our phone lines tied ....

We Were the ones that ran As Fast as we could when we heard that "FAST" internet was coming .. Through The form of "Cable"..... We also witnessed the birth and Death of Unlimited internet..

You sold us Blank CD's and We filled them till you intreduced us to Blank DVD's... and we also followed you into The HD GAMBLE days... We bought both Your Test Run "standards" and in the end we were all Blue in more then one way.

(I still Cant buy What dreams may come on Bluray...Though im proud to hold in my Hand a Out of date and obsolete copy on HD DVD)

I blinded my eyes with Stale Green Colored portable gaming... While 5 Lines gave me a Tetris... UMD movies just Took up space in my house...

Understand that We have stood by You through Standards...Formats...product revamps... And Pricewars..

but Now here.. at the internet.. You must understand that What you are asking for is not yours To take... You did not invent this place.. You Only live inside of it...

The time and years have gone by... Music is Gone..and Replaced with The Flavor of the week that Fuels sales And tops Charts...

Music is a product... Where it once was a dream...

Movies Are no Longer About Making Classics... but more so about breaking box office records...

Movies Were once a form of art.... now it too has turned into nothing more then a product..

you supply the products and We supply your capital...

let us enjoy what we have worked so hard for...

Vintendo.com Reviews the iPad 2!

before reading This I will state that I am a apple fan boy. Due to My job and My hobbies i feel that Apple makes the products that cater to my everyday needs in the tech world.

but thats not to say that Apple products are not flawed ... most of the times everything has a Flaw ... and here we will point out a few on Apples new Addition to there IOS device Family. The iPad 2


The model That I picked was a 16gb wifi only model... The Reason being was With all the work that i do with VMS (Vintendo Music Server beta) ALL my media is now 100% Cloud based...

For my non techies.. This means that All my media is listen to or Watched over the internet.

There for having no reason to purchase Anything bigger then 16gb this was my main Reason For selecting a black 16gb WIFI only model.



The other Reason based on me buying the WIFI only model is that I own an iPhone 4... Which is Jailbroken in returning allowing me to "Tether" my 3G internet onto any wireless device that I feel fit to. In this case the ipad 2.

I will also not be going over the Apple smart cover... Which in my eyes is nothing more then a screen cover that will still allow your $500 plus device to get scratched and god knows what else that might happen to the rear cover that the standard apple cover does NOTHING to protect. And priced at 40-70 dollars... thats Asking a little too much ..

I ended up Going with the macally ipad 2 case... Which After a slight magnet mod (more about this later) is more then i could ever ask for in a case... as to why Apple Did take the Smart cover A step further is beyond me....




I understand that With such an awesome design at the ipad 2... You would want to show it off... but lets Face it .. once people have seen it and the hype has died down... I want my Device protected I could Careless if People get to see it or not hah


Enough with Electronic Shit lips.... We now move onto the iPad 2 Review that you will not get from Other techie Blogs heh



First things First what can you say about the ipad 2 that has not been Said already before about the First ipad?

This is More of the Stuff we have Come to Love in Apple idevices but with alot more power And speed along With Cameras! (sarcasm)

The Software is pretty much the same as it was along with a few tweaks here and there that bring you such exciting Features as "Magnet cover lock" which just means that the Screen is put to sleep When you use the Smart Cover from apple. (or The Vintendo mod for the macally case).

With the adition of Face time and Photobooth its all what you have come to know on the First ipad. But Everything Seems to be on super speed.

The Over all Feel I find Was an "instant" feeling The moment you launch Something or navigate from one app the to other.

It seems the Double Ram and increase in CPU as Well as GPU really Was the Sweet tits Spot For the iPad 2.

It now seems to move from Facebook to home screen to another app With no hick ups or slow downs (not that the ipad 1 was like that... but this is just Done more instant Then before)




The first thing that you will notice With this thing is how Thin it is !!

I swear its almost like apple is trying To Give us all panic attacks while holding or using an ipad 2...

it just feels like A bird might flap its wings or your grandma sneezes and your ipad is on its way to The ground to meet its untimely death..

and this Time around... Its not "as easy" to Repair a broken Ipad 2 like it was for an ipad 1.... Without Getting into another 20 page blog about why this is ... lets just say that this time around your Going to have to get on your knees at the apple store and take there money shot that they call a repair to the Face... ($200 plus)

A case is pretty much a must have for something like this .. I wouldn't mind if Apple would Have thrown in a free case for an extra 15-20 dollars added on the bottom line For the ipad 2 price..

but with how thin this thing is ... And how its almost a natural reaction to try and not blob finger prints all over it ..your just waiting around for the "fall"




The hardware Switches Seem to be heavy duty in the sense that they dont feel like they are going to Fall out anytime soon.. Then Again if you opt For no case... well... (Do you get the feeling on How serious I am About getting a case for this thing ! )



The power button is now On a Slant when compared to the First ipad where it was more so on the "top" of the device. Not an Issue at all.. but Coming from being a first generation ipad owner its almost like i have to relearn the feel for the power button.. its ok im sure that will come in due time and I will be able to power on and off with the best of em.



This time around the Edges of the ipad Are Smoothed off with less Edge from front to rear.

The glass has been pushed to the edges making it Feel and look like your Holding a flat piece of future computer glass that not only makes you look like a god at Starbucks but proves you are hung like the bull... No really this thing looks trippy when you first pick it up and look at it.

The Display is pretty much the same glass and LCD panel from the First ipad.. Which is not a bad thing .. but at the sametime a Retina Display like on the iphone 4 would have gave this blogger an E-Boner for sure...

I will mention that It almost seems that the brightness level is maybe just a ball hair brighter on the ipad 2 then it was on the original

Which means it will still light up your whole bedroom at night while your on a netflix browsing binge at 2 am...


A slight pause while i clear the vomit off my monitor.... yes ... its time to talk about the DUAL CAMERAS !!





ahh yes ... the Feature that we all knew should have been in the first Ipad is finally here!!

So Why the Vomit Vin?


well I will tell ya ...

its almost like Apple started work on the ipad 2 with an internal memo that read "USE LOW GRADE CAMERA'S ON THE UPCOMING IPAD 2"

Cause yes ... this is what they did and why we will never know .. wait yeah we already know ..

But Still makes me wonder with the iphone 5 being released on june 25th Why not Do us ipad owners a solid and use the cameras from the iphone 4...

What you get is Grainy pictures That look like they came from your ipod 4th gen and not what you would think From a BRAND New ipad 2... The Hype Died here for me apple... next time if your going to Cock tease With your latest product please Dont blue ball me at the last minute again... its ok Though I still have the iphone 4 to fall back on right?


honestly this is not really an issue Cause I cant see people using the ipad 2 as there Main camera or replacement for a decent Digi Cam. This is more so to capture the moment as it happens ... and what they lack in the MP of Stills... apple more then makes up for in the video Recording department.

also for Facetime and Photobooth its Perfect. Since Your just using them For Video chat which as facetime has always been is Clear and Smooth. This remands the same for the ipad 2.

Again the Cameras are NOT 100% crap... but they really leave you with a feeling that apple got to your jail house wallet once again.. by giving you just a taste but not the Full plate..

Which is a Crisp 720p which is very nice when added along with iMovie app... You really can make amazing home videos and mixs that you could only do before on the iphone 4.... (ok now im just being a hater...)

The video is Very Clear and the sound is like wise.. Which brings us to the new speaker grill design which I think looks decent but worries me about if over time the little holes could become plugged up from dirt and what not.

I find that the iPad 2 is MUCH louder then the first ipad.. and the placement of the Speakers Was much better in the sense that it was not as easily muffled out when held or placed down in a certain way.

Apple this time has Used two small speakers this time around that really Crank out some volume!!

So no complains in the audio department.





The battery life remains the same. Which since the first Ipad I have always told people puts laptops To shame by far.

This thing will go For about 12 hours before needing to be charged. Which For air flights and long road trips makes for the perfect laptop replacement (within reason).


So after almost a Full week with the iPad 2 I can say that all is ok and checks out.

Though the cameras Could have been better.. At least it now has them... And really its not the worst you have seen. and Works fine With Everything that it needs to Do.

just Dont Expect it to Replace your million dollar digital cam any time Soon.

facetime And Photobooth are An awesome add on if you place on impressing friends and family that have been living under a rock and have never seen an ipad before or an apple product for that matter...



but I would have liked it better if they gave you garage band for free with the ipad since it Comes free when you buy a mac and would have showed off the much more power the ipad 2 has to offer better then just Photobooth and Facetime.

bottom line :

If you liked the first ipad but wished it had Cameras then this is for you and the added horsepower will just make the whole thing feel that much more updated.

If you are one of the people that skipped the First Ipad launch Cause "the new one is going to come out in a few months with ..." Then the few months is here and its time For you to jump on board . You will not Regret it and at the price That apple is offering them at... its worth it .


if your looking to replace your laptop with an ipad... There are a few things you will have to think about. Since that answer will vary from person to person.

if all you do is send emails ... use Facebook.. watch movies...surf the web....video chat.... listen to music.... download music... take pictures... edit pictures... edit videos... use youtube and pretty much all the other things that most people use a laptop for then this will have no issues replacing your laptop and making it look like a cavemans gameboy.

But if Your into any of the "Other" things that might fall outside of the above...you might want to look into things a little more before replacing something you might still need.

Cyber suicide: Consumer Overload

This Past Weekend Apple released the Sequel to it's hit product the iPad and a new Wave of "Liners" was born.

I decided that this year I would Sell my soul to the apple devil and Rip up all my Credit cards and id Cards and become a liner... Ok Well some of that might be a little stretched....

but yes I was about to embark on what I have come to Call "Liners"..

Almost Feeling the need to remind myself that This was more of an investment then a moral depriving Experience and Mostly Due to the Fact that apple Did not Do pre-orders this year with the ipad (shame on you Steven shame shame...) I set out to grasp my greedy needy apple hands on a black 16gb (more on that later ;) ) WIFI only iPad 2.


A simple placed call to the local Bestbuy Store after a few clicks on the bestbuy app brought me Ear to ear with a female That stated

"yeah we have the Ipad 2 And lines are forming at 2pm with tickets going out at 4:30pm with sales at 5pm"

I knew what I had to do ...

Slowly pulling up to the bestbuy there was this feeling in the air .... you could tell on the face's of people leaving the store that something ... Something was about to take place...

Each person looking each other in the eye to see who.. and Where .. the "Line" Would being ...

With what seemed like a blink of an eye no line soon turned into






And before you know it .. The "Liners" had all gathered Around and prepared To do what they do best..


Stand in line And be looked at by everyone that passed by...



Sometimes I Wish we could Replace the "iPad 2 Line starts here ! " Sign with "Zombie outbreak contaminated zone" Just to see the look on peoples Faces...

I cant start to tell you how many times I had to answer "Excuse me... What are you guys all waiting for?"

4 hours later .....




This did not Come without A Piece of madness...

The Whole time thinking to myself how We .....the Liners.. Were Treated if not worse Then you would Treat thief.

Lucky Enough it was not 120F outside... one could only wonder If They Would have Still not given Out water bottles cause Like the door man said "were not allowed to"

As I waited online I checked in with other Friends that Run Blogsites As well ( name dropping would be so nice Right here huh? ;) )

I noticed that some apples stores were Giving out drinks and food for people waiting sometimes 6+ hours For the iPad 2 Release.

At the end of the day There is No Doubt in my mind when I say ... No its not worth all the trouble of Standing in line For hours on end just to be the first to get your hands on it...

Though I do like the Pre order thing Apple had going till now... Which not only let people get it the same day it Was released but also Tame The Stores a little bit and not Have it be So much like a war zone surviver experience.

If This is what the issue will be when the iphone 5 is released on June 21 There Is no way that you will find me anywhere near a line.

attempting this when its 120F outside For sure would be grounds for a Heat stroke.. and With Bestbuy not Giving out water... This Could be more then apple Could ask for on a release day...

Which leads me to ask...

How Far is too far when it comes to wanting Something on Release day ?
